The Pediatric Practice Team
ABOUT US
Our pediatric practice stands for modern, guideline-based pediatric and adolescent medicine, combined with personal care and a relationship built on trust.
Dr. med. Susanne Hörning
Our specialist in paediatrics and adolescent medicine. She completed her medical studies at LMU Munich and her specialist training primarily at the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at Erlangen University Hospital, complemented by experience in an established paediatric practice in Erlangen.
In addition to her clinical training, she was involved in research from an early stage. In 2012, she received a doctoral scholarship from the Kind-Philipp Foundation for Leukaemia Research for her research work. She completed her doctorate at the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at Erlangen University Hospital in 2015 with the top grade “summa cum laude”. For her dissertation, she was awarded the Gerda Weller Prize by the Faculty of Medicine at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg in 2016.
This combination of clinical experience and academic research shapes her approach to medicine to this day: well-founded, guideline-oriented, and at the same time with a special focus on the individual child and their family. Medical decisions are designed to be comprehensible for parents and made together—with time for questions, careful consultation, and trusting support.
As a mother of two daughters, she is also personally familiar with many of the questions and uncertainties that accompany families in everyday life. She combines this understanding with a high level of professional diligence and an approachable, personal standard of care.

In 1992, he founded his practice in Nuremberg. In the course of his career, he acquired the additional qualification in classical homeopathy and completed further training in psychotherapy.
As a father of four children, he has a wealth of experience with parenting skills and challenging everyday family life.
